Online casinos are part of a multi billion dollar industry. Gambling is now one of the world’s biggest growth industries and is a topic of discussion in many countries since many countries are now allowing casinos.

Nations take their own approach to online casinos gambling. In the United States, gambling is only legal in the state of Nevada and certain places in New Jersey and on certain licensed Indian reservations and electronic gaming is allowed in some race tracks.

New legislation has limited internet gambling in that it outlaws the processing of the financial transactions. The United Kingdom has basically legalized gambling and regulates and taxes it. Its new regulations go into effect next summer.

Canada has not taken a strong stand on the issue since gambling falls under the jurisdiction of the provinces, not the federal government. Canadian tribal lands are home to the server for over 400 online casinos.

In Russia there is talk of outlawing gambling and forcing all casinos into gambling zones. Most of the European countries take a liberal approach to gambling which is where online casino and other growth is expected as gambling companies expand there. Eastern Europe has their casinos.

Australia legalized gambling years ago and regulates the industry and taxes the profits. In Costa Rica there are calls for some kind of regulation of the industry. That is the home of most of the online gaming companies.

South America is a growing market for the gambling industry and Macau is already overtaking Las Vegas has the casino gambling capitol of the world. Most nations are jumping on the bandwagon to share in the profits.
